Exterior Visualisation can be created in two different ways, one is Photomontage and the other is Computer Generated Images (CGI). Although the end results of Exterior Visualisation CGI might be very similar. However, there are some subtle differences.

By definition, Exterior Visualisation means forming, situated on, or relating to the outside of something. Therefore, it’s not just the building itself. It is also the landscape and the surroundings which can be as small as the lawn in front of the house. Alternatively, it can be as big as the whole city district.

Large visualisations can show residential, commercial, industrial, or rural areas. Exterior Visualisation is great for presenting major construction projects. One of the examples is insulation systems, engineering solutions, city road maps in Exterior Visualisation projects.

High-dimension, high-quality renderings allow to zoom in the pictures and provide extremely detailed and photorealistic pictures.

3D exterior CGI is an important part of construction development. Because it allows rendering ideas of architectural objects at an early stage of implementation. It allows attracting investment and premarket real estate.

An Exterior visualisation CGI produced for marketing purposes is more aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, this can have special effects such as views taken during the night or with a sunset. (figure1)

On the other hand, photomontage visuals are a combination of a 3D model and a base photograph. Moreover, this method is great for planning purposes. Property developers or architectural practices use these photomontage visuals to show the proposed development within the context (figure 2).

Moreover, Arcwin can produce exterior and interior CGI for both marketing and planning purposes. The CGI images help planners and councillors to understand the scale and the setting of the proposed building. This will lead to approval from London Borough (figure 2).
